THE WAREHOUSE
Freaky Furniture and more... is a webshop, but...
you can experience the complete collection live when you visit the warehouse!

While having fresh coffee or tea you can have a relaxed walk around in the 150m2 big warehouse and you will be amazed of the large stock of all sorts of items. Every week we get new items so there is always a lot more then the website shows!
Payments can only be done in cash, there is no bankmachine at the warehouse (we do have 3 banks within 5 minute drive)

How to get to the warehouse;
» driving from Arnhem (you need this one if you come from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, etc.)

OPENING HOURS
The warehouse is open on Saturday afternoon between 14.00 and 17.00 hours.
You are also welcome on working days, but be sure to make an appointment first.

NOTE! Holidays: I will be away for holidays from January 29th- February 21st 2012.
In this period I cannot be reached by phone. Email and orders can be send in as normal. I will answer my email every now and then, but this will be later then normal. Also shipping and picking up items will be done later. My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
The warehouse will be closed on 4, 11 and 18 February.

Freaky Furniture and more... is a webshop for buy and sell of vintage furniture, lighting and accessories from the 20th century, especially 1930-1980.
The webshop was started in 2001 as a result of my interest for design from the past. The typical '50s designs started a passion that will probably last forever.
In the last period of years, my interest has grown into the entire 20th century.
I got to know designs from every period of time and saw their specific charme.
From Art Deco to Seventies, so many beautiful things!
Maybe you have to be a sort of "freak" to see the beauty in some designs, and some items will turn beautiful just because of their "uglyness". Other items on the contrary, will immediately impress by their wonderful shapes and colors.
After years of collecting for myself I started selling items some time ago. It simply is not possible to keep everything to yourself, but letting it all slip is not funny at all!
So here it is, the website makes it possible for me to look for nice items and makes it possible for collectors, design lovers, and real freaks worldwide to find just that item that makes the collection or the interior more complete!
Freaky Furniture offers only authentic secondhand items, there are no new made items to be found within the webshop.
You can find design from the "famous" designers, but also items of which the designer is unknown (to me).
What you see is a mix of various styles, periods and designers.
For me personally, is not the name the main issue, but form, function, originality and quality.
The most convenient way to stay informed about the latest news is to sign up for the newsletter, go the the menu on the left to sign up.

Augustus 2011: after a very nice 10th anniversay I come with something completely different:
Although there are no signs of burn-out what's or ever, I do have to say ;
the passion fades... the challenge is gone... routine has arrived.
In the last years my hobby has grown into a proper job, with all things attached.
Good and less. Such as working a lot by myself, no colleques, no teamwork. That sometimes is nice, I get to do it all my way, but I do miss working with others too. And with respect; it gets a little shallow sometimes, because how pretty some pieces may be, they still are just things, you know? These and more thoughts popped up lately.
So all things considered I finally had to answer an important question for myself:
do I want to do this for the rest of my- hopefully long- working life?
The honest answer is: No.
it is time to change, new passions to be found, new experiences, new challenge!
I wish to make a contribution to the world, to society, to people.
Therefor Freaky Furniture will be changing. I will tone it down from work to hobby again. Freaky Furniture "Light".
I will not stop (yet), the fire is still burning, and FF is also a part of me, so I like to keep going, finding great items and sell them to other vintage lovers. For now the most noticable change will be that I will add less new items. Service will not change though!

Small items can be send with normal postal services. Prices depend on size, weight and of course delivery address. Please feel free to ask.

Packing will always be done as economically as possible, but always considering the safety of the goods. We use thick carbon boxes and bubble plastic and make sure the goods stay put in the box. We also use recycled packingmaterial to save the environment. Please see what you can do to re-use your packingmaterial after receiving your order.

UPDATES
This website will be updated with new items every 2-3 weeks. Most of the time I will add around 30 items and I try to make a nice mix of all different sort of items.
Beside that I try to keep the website as accurate as possible, I work on it every day, so I mention `on hold` or `sold` as soon as possible.
About "on hold" and "sold":
Items are put on hold when they are ordered or actually put on hold to be seen by someone. Items are only sold when paid for. Unfortunately sometimes people order but do not pay, then the item will be available again. Please send an email when the item of your choise is on hold, I will send you an email if it comes available for you!
BUY
I'm always looking for new items, so if you have anything to sell, please send me an email with picture(s) mentioning type of item, condition and price and location.
I will get back you you asap!
RENTAL
All items in stock at Freaky Furniture and more... are also for rent (in limited extention) for foto- and filmshoots, shopwindows and commercials. In case of firmname mentioning products can also be used without costs.

All items can be seen at the warehouse.
All items are used before. Most items are in good - mint condition but there can be small signs of use or minor wear. If signs of use are very clear or of any influence to the working order of the item this will be mentioned in the description.
If you want more information (text or photo's) about an item please send an e-mail. Without asking for further information you agree with the condition the item is in.
Prices
Prices are excluding shipping costs for they depend on size, weight and delivery address. Shipping costs are for buyers expence. Send and email if you wish to know more about this regarding a specific item. If you send in the orderform I will get back to you asap about this and other needed information.
Items are not automatically insured during shipping. In case of damage or missing items during shipping, please notify me immediately in writing.
Prices are excluding light bulbs.
Payment
you can make the payment for your order as follows;
- in cash when you pick up the order at the warehouse (no bankmachine at the warehouse)
- upfront through banktransfer
- upfront with creditcard through Paypal
Payments need to be received within 10 days after the order confirmation was send.
If the payment was not received within 10 days, or other period agreed on by you and me, the order will be silently canceled and the product will be put back on sale again.
Guarantee and responsibility We sell most of our products in the original (vintage) condition so also with the original wiring that is not always compatable for the standards that we now use, so we advise you to check with your local electrician about the rules in your country before you use the item. Freaky Furniture and more does not give any guarantee on offered products. Freaky Furniture and more cannot be hold responsible for any damage from using products. Freaky Furniture and more cannot be hold responsible for mistakes in text on the website, for example in prices.
Return Policy
If you wish to return a product send an email within 8 days mentioning the product, your name, address and telephone number. You will receive information for the return shipping. Ordered items can only be returned if products are complete, intact en package is not broken or opened. Return shippingcosts are for buyers expence.
